Product Overview

Absolute Precision for the Most Advanced Microsurgery

The DEKA SmartXide² TRIO is the only THREE IN ONE CO₂ laser platform, offering the accuracy of a scanner-assisted laser, the flexibility of CO₂ fiber delivery, and an optional high-power diode module in a single comprehensive system.

Built around DEKA's RF-excited CO₂ laser source with exclusive PSD® (Pulse Shape Design) technology, the TRIO generates variable peak pulses optimised for surgical precision, in synergy with the HiScan Surgical scanning system and EasySpot Hybrid micromanipulator.

The result: clean cutting edges with minimal tissue charring, minimal thermal damage (<50 μm), and full control over ablation area, depth, and coagulation. Designed for the full spectrum of ENT microsurgery, from phonosurgery to stapedotomy.

RF-Excited CO₂ + PSD®

Greater energy above the ablation threshold than continuous-supply lasers: U-Pulse delivers massive energy in microseconds for ablation with minimal tissue charring.

EasySpot Hybrid

Scan-assisted microsurgery with holographic lens and high-reflectance mirror optics. Single-ring focus with focal point memory and joystick-controlled beam centering.

HiScan Surgical

Ultra-fast beam scanning in 100 millionths of a second across 6 surgical shapes up to 6.3 mm, for precise, reproducible tissue ablation and cutting.

MicroScan Surgical

Miniaturised scanning for free-hand oropharyngeal procedures. Multi-function key for precise beam centering and scanner activation without leaving the surgical field.

CO₂ Hollow Fiber

Flexible fiber delivery reaches difficult anatomical areas (middle ear, nasal cavity) with rigid or malleable handpieces, spatula/flat tips, and integrated smoke extraction.

Diode Laser Module

Optional 980 nm fiber laser enables the ONE SHOT stapedotomy technique and fiber-optic access to areas unreachable by the articulated arm. Single-use or up to 10× reusable fibers.

Unique, TRIO

Three Delivery Modes. One Platform.

The SmartXide² TRIO combines the accuracy of scanner-assisted CO₂ laser with the flexibility of CO₂ and diode lasers, meeting all surgical needs in the ENT specialty.

RF-Excited CO₂ · PSD® Technology

Precision at the Pulse Level

The SmartXide² TRIO uses an RF-excited CO₂ laser source with exclusive PSD® (Pulse Shape Design) technology, generating variable peak pulses with different structure, duration, and power output, adapting to the full range of ENT clinical conditions.

U-Pulse delivers massive energy in microseconds for perfect ablation with minimal tissue charring, the ideal mode for ENT microsurgery and phonosurgery. Real CW provides continuous output with no acoustic effect, making it the preferred choice for stapedotomy and precision coagulation.

RF-excited sources produce significantly greater energy above the ablation threshold compared to continuous-supply CO₂ lasers at comparable pulse length, enabling faster, cleaner ablation with less collateral thermal damage.
